Winter wheat

Created and introduced in production new varieties of winter wheat are adapted to different terms of sowing at the irrigated lands in the South of Ukraine. The potential yields are 9.0-10.0 t/ha.

Three varieties of winter wheat (Triticum durum L.) were breeded in the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture NAAS: ©Andromeda, ©Dniprianka, ©Kassiopea.

 

Soft winter wheat:

Anatoliya

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Erytrospermum.

Drought tolerant.

Winter resistance is upper-intermediate.

Intensive tillering.

Resistant to logging and infestation. Seeds don’t drop.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 5.0 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.0 t/ha and more.

General bakery evaluation score – 4.8-5.2 points.

Belongs to the strong wheats.

Grain quality.

Bulk density – 800 g/l, kernel vitreosity – 80%, proteins content in grain – 14.1-15.3%, gluten content – 30.5%, bread yield is 630-700 cm3from 100 g of the flour.

 

Blago

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Erytrospermum.

Drought tolerant.

Winter resistance is upper-intermediate.

Short-stemmed variety.

Resistant to logging and infestation.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 5.0 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.0 t/ha and more.

General bakery evaluation score – 4.6-5.0 points.

Belongs to the strong wheats.

Grain  quality.

Bulk density – 770-815  g/l,  kernel vitreosity – 92%, proteins content in grain –  13.5-14.0%,  gluten content – 31.5-39.6%, bread yield is 630-700 cm3 from 100 g of the flour.

 

Burgunka

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Erytrospermum.

Drought tolerant.

Winter resistance is upper-intermediate.

The plants of medium height.

Resistant to logging and infestation.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 5.0 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.0-10.0 t/ha.

Konka

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Erytrospermum.

Drought tolerant.

Winter resistance is upper-intermediate.

The plants of medium height.

Resistant to logging and infestation.

Yields. Under the irrigation – 8.5-9.5 t/ha and more.

Drought tolerant.

Winter resistance is high. Resistance to frost is upper-intermediate.

The plants of medium height. Middle-ripening variety.

Highly resistant to logging.

Resistant to infestation.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 6.5 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.5 t/ha and more.

Ledia

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Lutescens.

Drought tolerance and resistance to logging is high.

The plants of medium height. The plants height is 85-110 cm.

High resistance to fungal diseases. No chemical protection during vegetation needed.

Yields. No irrigation – 6.5 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.5 t/ha and more.

Ovidiy

Winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), specie Lutescens.

Drought tolerance and thermo tolerance are high.

Winter resistance and frost resistance are very high.

The plants height is 90-95 cm.

Resistance to logging and infestation is very high.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 5.0 t/ha; under the irrigation – 9.5-10.5 t/ha.

Dnipryana

The short-stemmed middle-early-ripening variety.

Resistant to logging.

Yields. No irrigation after fallow field – 5.5 t/ha; under the irrigation – 6.0-6.5 t/ha and more.

Kassiopeya

Winter wheat variety (Triticum durum L.), specie Hordeiforme.

Drought tolerance is upper-intermediate.

Winter and frost resistance is high.

The short-stemmed middle-early-ripening variety.

Resistant to fungal diseases. Seeds do not drop.

Yields reach to 7.0-7.6 t/ha.

The grain fits all the requirements of the standard for hard wheat grain of the for making pasta products of the highest sort. Bulk density – 810 g/l, gluten content – 40.3%, proteins content in grain – 14.5%. General evaluation of pasta products score is 4.0-4.5 points.
